Pete Tong Returns To Pacha

Pete Tong with his MBE.
The legend that is Pete Tong MBE, makes a welcome return to the intimate surrounds of Pacha this summer with two confirmed Sunday dates. Tong will stand in for Solomun on July 6, as the Croatian DJ is away on World Cup duty in Brazil. The Pete Tong + 1 party will have the talented and stylish HOSH as his back to back guest on the night. On September 7, Tong will appear with Solomun as his +1 guest in what promises to be an exciting party and one that should pack out the iconic Ibiza club. Steve Hulme music director at Pacha stated "Pacha is extremely happy to welcome back Pete, the consummate industry professional and an absolute pleasure to work with – everybody in Pacha is thrilled having him in the Solomon DJ Booth. There are not many artists that Solomon would have been comfortable doing the “takeover” with but Pete was a no brainer and with HOSH alongside, it will be a very special night for everybody"

Tong, who departed Pacha last season to launch a new residency at Ushuaia, with the moderately successful Le Grand Bazaar party, is expected to make a number of appearances on this island this summer. Hard Rock Hotel, Ibiza Rocks and Space are rumoured to be interested in signing Tong for some one off parties. Tong has also been confirmed as the host of the International Music Summit at the brand new Hard Rock Ibiza Hotel on May 21-23. At the end of his lukewarm residency at Ushuaia, the Radio 1 DJ stated that he felt Ibiza's influence as a center for dance music was "shifting" away to Southern California, a comment that surprised many. However those comments were made before Tong received a well deserved 2014 New Years MBE honour. The news that Pete Tong is now looking favorably on Ibiza again, will be welcomed by his many fans on the island. Hopefully it will be the start of a much more solid relationship with Ibiza into the future.
