The owners of the Booom project have lodged an appeal to the eviction order served against it by an Ibiza court in March. The appeal will ensure that the club remains open this summer in Ibiza and it is good news for fans of the Defected label which is the clubs flagship party on Tuesday nights. Booom have also confirmed a second resident party,Suara,for Wednesday nights, opening on June 4 and closing on September 24. Other parties are expected to be announced over the coming weeks but it will be the Defected party that will have the club near capacity. Defected has assembled an exciting line-up this season with Breach, Kenny Dope, Guti, Nic Fanciulli, Denis Ferrer and Sam Divine all confirmed for the first six parties of the 2014 summer season. Behind the scenes the Club continues to fight the eviction order and its owner Giuseppe Cipriani has against the odds, succeeded in keeping the club open for another season. One would have to admire his tenacity but the matter is still deadlocked with all sides entrenched behind legal argument. Thankfully for fans of Defected and Booom, the important news is that Booom will remain open this summer. The Defected opening party will take place on May 20.
